Think Green. Act Green.
Fairmont Kea Lani, located on the Hawaiian island of Maui, is committed to responsible tourism practices and sustainable hotel management. The resort’s Planet21 Team is comprised of leaders and colleagues dedicated to proactively “greening” operations and cultivating an enduring connection to the land and community. CORAL REEF CLEAN UP
Beginning in 2014, Fairmont Kea Lani sponsors reef and beach clean ups throughout the year including Trilogy’s Blue’Aina Reef Cleanup on Earth Day. Fairmont Kea Lani colleagues join Trilogy’s crew and volunteers dive and retrieve harmful marine debris off the reef.
Endangered Hawksbill Sea Turtle Dawn Patrol
In partnership with Hawaiʻi Wildlife Fund and Department of Land and Natural Resources, the resort has ‘adopted’ neighboring Palauea beach as part of an effort to support the critically endangered Hawksbill sea turtle.
Clean The World Foundation
Fairmont Kea Lani donates used shampoo, conditioner and soap amenities left after guest check out to Clean The World foundation. Through this program, over 2,400 pounds of waste have been diverted from the land fill to create over 4,200 bars of soap and 3,200 hygiene kits for third world countries.
