Dive-In Movie Night

Keiki Torch Twirl (No Fire!)

Keiki ages 6 and older are invited to participate in a family-friendly baton-twirling experience inspired by the art of fire knife dancing. Guided by our team, children will learn introductory movements using safe practice batons—no fire involved. Participants may also choose warrior-style face paint, enjoy a photo opportunity with the fire knife performers, and receive a QR code card linking to a simple tutorial so they can continue practicing their new skills. This interactive activity offers a fun and engaging way for young guests to connect with the cultural tradition while celebrating the spirit of the performance in a safe, playful setting.

Live Bluefin Tuna Carving & Pilina Anniversary Celebration

Join us as we mark two years of connection at our lobby bar & lounge, PILINA. Experience a live 300-lb sustainably sourced Bluefin tuna carving by Oʻahu fisherman Tyler Wilcox (Laʻakea Fish & Co.) in partnership with PILINA’s culinary team. Throughout the evening, guests will learn about the distinct cuts while sampling prized selections such as kama, akame, and toro, and may also order from a specialty menu of Bluefin dishes and signature rolls designed for sharing. The celebration will also feature complimentary tastings, furikake malasadas for dessert, and the debut of our PILINA Ponzu hot sauce created in collaboration with HI Spice. Additional highlights include spirit tastings from Maui-based distilleries — Waikulu Distillery, Kupu Spirits, and Ocean Vodka Organic Distillery — accompanied by live music from the Micah Manzano Trio. This one-night-only gathering is complimentary and open to both resort guests and the community of Maui.

Join us for an engaging shoreline experience for guests of all ages, discovering the living classroom just steps from the resort. Guided by our cultural team, this interactive beach exploration highlights the natural and cultural elements that make Hawaiʻi’s coast so special. Along the way, you will learn about native plants such as the naupaka and its traditional uses, observe the ʻōpihi that cling to the rocks, and safely interact with marine life including sea urchins like the wana (pencil urchin) and uni. The experience continues with an introduction to the waʻa (Hawaiian canoe), where we share its parts, history, and importance in daily life across the islands. Blending hands-on discovery with storytelling, this experience offers a deeper appreciation for the connection between ocean, land, and culture.
