Aloha ʻĀina (Native Species Planting)
Join us for a meaningful hands-on experience supporting the conservation efforts of Uhiwai o Haleakalā. Guests will participate in seed processing to help restore and protect native forest ecosystems on the leeward slopes of Haleakalā, nurturing the ʻāina and helping preserve Hawaiʻi’s unique landscape for generations to come.
Embrace the spirit of Hawaiʻi with an afternoon of lei making and festive cocktails at Pilina. Guided by Fairmont Kea Lani’s Director of Hawaiian Culture, guests will learn to craft a fresh lei while enjoying a specialty cocktail. Experience a cherished Hawaiian tradition as our torch lighter illuminates the resort grounds at sunset. The ceremony begins in the lobby, announced by the sounding of a conch shell, before proceeding through the property with stops along the way. The evening concludes at the grand staircase near the koi pond with an oli (chant) and a photo opportunity for guests.
