Test your accuracy with Ulumaika, rolling a stone puck between two wooden pegs; try your hand at Moa Pahe‘e, gliding a wooden dart with precision; and challenge your strength and balance in Hukihuki, a friendly rope duel atop small platforms. Perfect for all ages, these lively activities offer a playful way to experience Hawai‘i’s rich cultural traditions.

Immerse yourself in the joy and intellectual play of nā mea pā‘ani, the traditional games once enjoyed during the Makahiki season. Led by our Kumu aʻo, this activity invites participants to engage in light-hearted, yet strategic, games that test wit, observation, and creativity—fostering connection and friendly rivalry. As part of the experience, you’ll also craft your own traditional game implement to take home, a handcrafted keepsake representing your personal connection to this cherished cultural practice.

Guests will craft beautifully personalized holiday cards, thoughtfully designed using natural elements and traditional patterns that reflect Hawaiʻi’s rich cultural heritage. Each card becomes a heartfelt tribute to the islands’ timeless beauty, blending creativity with the spirit of aloha.

Join our Hawaiian culture team in Hale Kukuna for an enriching experience as you learn to create stunning, festive flower lei. This hands-on workshop will guide you through the traditional techniques of lei making, allowing you to explore the significance of these beautiful floral creations in Hawaiian culture.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will make their grand arrival by outrigger canoe to Keoneopolo (Polo) Beach on Wednesday, December 24th, bringing festive joy and holiday cheer to all. Following his arrival, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available for photos, providing a cherished opportunity to capture the joy and magic of the season with the entire ʻohana.
