CELEBRATING KING KAMEHAMEHA DAY | THURSDAY, JUNE 11 | ‘AHU & PAEAHU TERRACE

Join us as we honor the life and legacy of King Kamehameha I, one of Hawaiʻi’s most revered and influential leaders. Through remarkable vision, diplomacy, and leadership, King Kamehameha united the Hawaiian Islands under one kingdom in 1810, laying the foundation for a stronger and more unified Hawaiʻi. His enduring legacy extends beyond unification, encompassing principles of protection, stewardship, and care for the people of Hawaiʻi, exemplified by the Kānāwai Māmalahoe, or Law of the Splintered Paddle.

In celebration of his lasting contributions, we invite guests to experience a day of cultural presentations, traditional Hawaiian practices, friendly competition, and local culinary favorites. We encourage all to join us in honoring this significant occasion and deepening their connection to Hawaiʻi’s rich history and traditions.

Out of respect for the cultural significance of the ceremonies held at the ʻahu, we kindly ask that guests silence their mobile devices and refrain from photography and videography during the hoʻokupu and hula presentations.
