Honoring Queen Lili’uokalani 2026
Join us as we honor the life and legacy of Queen Liliʻuokalani through a day of Hawaiian cultural experiences presented by Hale Kukuna, our Hawaiian cultural center.
Gather with ʻohana and community for a morning lei ceremony honoring Queen Liliʻuokalani, followed by hula, live music, storytelling, cultural demonstrations, and hands on activities that offer opportunities to connect with Hawaiʻi’s history and living traditions.
Throughout the day, explore a local mākeke featuring young entrepreneurs and community vendors, and take part in cultural activities including ʻohe kapala, ʻukulele, and crown flower lei making.

Torch Lighting Ceremony
Experience a cherished Hawaiian tradition as our torch lighter illuminates the resort grounds at sunset. The ceremony begins in the lobby, announced by the sounding of a conch shell, before proceeding through the property with stops along the way. The evening concludes at the grand staircase near the koi pond with an oli (chant) and a photo opportunity for guests.
