From adventure to laid-back leisure, create lasting memories together and welcome the season of sunshine in style at Fairmont Kea Lani.

We invite you to explore our full calendar of events, below.

HIGHLIGHTS

ʻUkulele Lessons

Guests are invited to gather in our Hawaiian cultural center, Hale Kukuna, to experience the joyful sounds of the ʻukulele—an instrument cherished in Hawaiian music and tradition. Guided through simple chords and melodies, participants will connect with the islands’ musical heritage while gaining a deeper appreciation for the culture and spirit of Hawaiʻi, leaving with both new skills and lasting memories.

Lei Making

Discover the art of lei making as you gather in our Hawaiian cultural center, Hale Kukuna, guided by the traditions of our kūpuna (ancestors). Each lei is crafted with care, connecting you to the beauty, culture, and spirit of the islands—an experience as unique and vibrant as the lei itself.

Hula Lessons

Meet in our Hawaiian cultural center, Hale Kukuna, for an introduction to hula, where movement and music come together to share the stories of Hawaiʻi and its people. Much like our ʻukulele lessons, the mele (songs) that guide each dance speak to a deep sense of place and community. Guests will learn the meaning behind the motions, basic steps, and hand gestures, gaining insight into how hula preserves history, honors the land, and expresses the spirit of aloha.

From Reef to Canoe: Explore the Culture of the Shore

Join us for an engaging shoreline experience for guests of all ages, discovering the living classroom just steps from the resort. Guided by our cultural team, this interactive beach exploration highlights the natural and cultural elements that make Hawaiʻi’s coast so special. Along the way, you will learn about native plants, observe ʻōpihi along the rocks, and safely encounter marine life including sea urchins like the wana (pencil urchin) and uni. The experience continues with an introduction to the waʻa (Hawaiian canoe), where we share its parts, history, and role in daily life across the islands.

Dive-In Movie Nights

Dive into a night of fun at our movie nights at the Upper Pool! Relax and enjoy the night’s featured movie from the comfort of a floatie or poolside lounge, while indulging in complimentary popcorn & sweets. For those ages 21+, the AMA Bar & Grill swim-up bar will remain open for libations.

Nighttime Crab Hunting

Experience the thrill of nighttime crab hunting at Fairmont Kea Lani, right at the edge of Polo Beach. As the sun sets and the stars rise, guests can embark on a guided adventure to search for these elusive creatures along the shoreline.

Fire Knife Performance

After our torch lighting ceremony, be mesmerized by a thrilling fire knife performance, held at Paeahu Terrace adjacent to the lower pool deck. This captivating display of skill and tradition will showcase the art of fire dancing, where expertly twirled fire knives light up the night sky, adding a spark of excitement to your evening. It’s the perfect way to immerse yourself in the island’s vibrant culture and create lasting memories during your stay.

Poolside Beats & Bites

Celebrate Spring Break with ocean breezes, island tunes, and casual bites at our Poolside Sessions on Paeahu Terrace. Enjoy stunning views alongside grilled favorites, sweet treats, shave ice, and refreshing beverages from ʻOpihi in a lively, family-friendly atmosphere.

Easter Sunday Brunch at Kō

Join us for a festive Easter celebration featuring a special appearance by the Easter Bunny and live entertainment, perfect for gathering with family and friends.

Enjoy our beloved weekly brunch offerings, elevated with a chef-attended carving station and seasonal Easter desserts. Dishes showcase Hawaiʻi’s diverse local flavors—blending Hawaiian, Chinese, Filipino, Portuguese, Korean, and Japanese influences—prepared with the island’s freshest ingredients.
